If I see a client in the clinic that has complaints of chronic muscle tightness and pain, one of the first questions I ask is “how well do you sleep at night?”

If they have trouble with consistently getting quality sleep, that becomes an area of emphasis. Poor sleep can contribute to weight gain, poor concentration, sugar cravings, decreased athletic performance, greater risk of heart disease and stroke, depression and even chronic inflammation. We heal when we sleep so poor sleep pattern effects us globally in a negative way.

Elizabeth just posted a Body Scan Sleep Meditation that may help you if you have issues with falling asleep. The meditation starts at the 3 min mark of the video, please let me know if you have any questions, enjoy!
