About Ed & Elizabeth Deboo

Founded in 2004 by Ed and Elizabeth Deboo, PT’s, Integrative Physical Therapy Services is Bellingham & Whatcom County’s choice for Structural  Manual Therapy.  What is Structural Manual Therapy?      Structural Manual Therapy can be very effective in the treatment of chronic pain, repetitive stress injuries, tendon and ligament damage, back and neck pain, and to also reduce muscle compensation patterns.   We specialize in the treatment of both the pediatric and adult population.  As a service to their clients in Bellingham, Whatcom county, and beyond,  Integrative Physical Therapy has a YouTube channel, Front Row with Ed and Elizabeth.  The channel’s focus is on Self-care with over 150 video tutorials  covering topics from head to toe.  Headaches, neck and shoulder pain, how to foam roll, how to improve your posture, and how to treat your sore foot are just a few of the topics covered.  We offer both  “in-clinic” and virtual Tele-PT session to help serve the needs of our clients.


Ed Deboo, PT

Ed graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA in 1990 with a B.A. Degree in Exercise Science. Ed then graduated from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Science in Des Moines, Iowa in 1994 with a Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.

Ed has had the great honor of studying for over 10 years with the Ursa Foundation in Edmonds, WA under the leadership of Dr. Loren “Bear”Rex, DO, and Lino Cedric, ATC. He has also taken many classes from Dr. Ed Stiles, DO, whom he credits for helping shape his current manual therapy practice. Ed’s passion lies in manual structural therapy, Myofascial Trigger Point work and exercise prescription.

His goal with all of his patients is to help them realize their full potential by maximizing their functional ability. Ed is also a Level 1 Certified Sports Coach through the USA Weightlifting Association. When he’s not in the clinic, he can be found on the basketball court, trying to keep up with the younger guys.


Elizabeth Deboo, PT

Elizabeth attended Iowa Sate University in Ames, Iowa, graduating in 1991 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology and Zoology. She attended The University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (Des Moines Medical University) in Des Moines, Iowa, obtaining her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 1994. Elizabeth has worked in a variety of settings over the past 26 years as a PT including nursing homes, hospitals, home health care, and various outpatient orthopedic clinics. She has worked primarily with children in the outpatient setting for much of her PT career.

Elizabeth’s philosophy originates from the Osteopathic paradigm. Her approach is based on the individual and includes every system of the body to facilitate its attempt to integrate structure and function for the overall goal of health.

Elizabeth’s practice has evolved to predominately an Energy Medicine practice. She has been a Reiki Master since 2010 and a Certified  Meditation Instructor since 2012. In addition to individual sessions, Elizabeth offers classes, group gatherings, and periodic workshops. Elizabeth currently sees both pediatric (infants) and adult patients in her PT practice.
